Pros

Biggest CRO so lots of opportunities at the more junior level; attracts top talent (but struggling to keep it); decent benefits package; good office facilities

Cons

A serious lack of trust in the vision and honesty of upper management has led to plunging morale. This used to be a great company with a great vision and I never thought I'd want to leave but since the IPO it is all about productivity and the bottom line - there is no sense that upper management really know what they are doing, other than squeezing people and off-shoring. Senior managers spend all their time on internal politics, looking over their shoulders and pointing fingers and are completely disconnected from the workforce. A handful of untalented but well-connected cronies shuffle places at the top. The atmosphere has become very unhealthy.

Pros

Resources and access to good studies to be successful in research, immediate PTO benefits, 401k match.

Cons

Growth opportunities/compensation - besides the annual merit raises of <3 percent I haven’t gotten a raise in 5 years.

Pros

Great pay initially, especially after negotiating. People are very smart and willing to meet for networking and learning opportunities. Flexibility and work life balance is by far the best perk - especially since many roles are fully remote.

Cons

Merit raises have been subpar the last 4 years and do not come close to keeping with inflation, consistently the company cites great EBITDA growth but that never is shown in bonuses nor merit raises despite receiving “exceeds expectations” ratings. Parental leave is a nominal. Very easy to get “lost in the sauce” of such a large company.
