Not as it Appeared on the Surface - Production Worker IGT Employee Review

Production Managers could be described as :aggressive, arrogant, condescending. Poor communication between departments regarding timelines, inventory and operations. Management errors flowed downhill - lower paid employees received blame for errors from higher offices. Nearly 300 on-site production, nightshift and warehouse jobs were lost in Spielo's sale to IGT. HR department was ineffective at anything apart from collection a paycheck. HR removed or deleted reports of managers' wrong doings from over a dozen workers. No opportunities for advancement or learning new skills. No recognition for previous learning or college education - emphasis placed entirely on university degrees. Pay is just above minimum wage, not suitable for long-term. No job security - nearly every person that is enters ends up quitting or eventually being terminated. We were constantly wondering if we were going to be eliminated, or if the company was going to fail first. Constant parts shortages - JIT was not implemented properly for seamless production on demand. Starting 2012, the company summer BBQ did not allow temp workers to partake in festivities. Rear parking lot security cameras did not work and were never fixed.
