Pros

We received a very thorough training before starting in our position, very well planned to start in a role, anyone can become HR Advisor as the knowledge provided is enough to fullfill the position. Amazing colleagues in the central office, built great relationship with HRBP's and colleageus in the countries, I really loved the way colleagues from the central office were coaching and teaching and supporting me, I had a great relationship with them. I loved my job and the whole rollout of the HR processes in this company, well organized and very qualified staff on central level.

Cons

Talking about my personal experience In Hungary, not necessarily all experienced the same and this does not reflect the overall IFF, only the local HRSSC. I was titled (only in words, but not contractually) and pushed and said to "behave as Senior" (when I asked my manager what this means I was said "I put you to that position because you can manage any difficulties, people, situations, meaning I am a less pain, because he knew I will solve anything on my own, but this was not respected at all). I was an Advisors, trainer, menntor, coach, account manager, psychologist to colleagues, conflict resolver within the team etc. ten roles in one, salary did not reflect accordingly, nore I was contracted as a Senior HR Advisor, and it was just taken granted I have to do this. All positions had anual bonus, only the HR Service team was not getting any anual bonuses. Hopefully this has changed as there were some signs on that. The HRSSC country manager was pushing the people to compete against each other. Promotions for the people who are "good with the boss" or brought from his previous company. Unfortunately noone was able to speak up, as everyone was afraid for their jobs, I could not speak up for all as noone would dare to take my side. Expected to work hard, while it is not compensated. Diversity, equality and inclusion promoted, but we knew male colleageues newly hired had higher salaries, better compensations, then those already doing the job (and having the same or more experience). The HRSSC country manager was making bad statements on other nations and would use it as a motivation for the team to compete and to be the best among the SSC offices. I applied for 2 internal positions I had experience with from earlier stages of my life, I was said not to pursue as I am too Senior. I am a person that can compromise and think long term, yet this approach of the management is unaccaptable. I could not speak up, because we would be threatened. E.g. on annual salary conversations we were said, if you share with each other your salary increase, you can be dismissed. My Team Leader was doing anything to find an error in my job to be dismissed, doing comments on my dressing, look etc.
