Pros
Good benefits, decent vacation time, flexible work hours. Getting hired may be the hardest part, once you're in you really don't have to do anything to keep your job. This is great if you're just wanting a paycheck.
Cons
Once you are in you don't have to do anything to keep your job. The less you do the better your odds are at getting transferred. If you build skills in one area they will likely lock you into that position. Promotions seem to be done on a whim, and your personal periodic reviews are a joke.
