Pros

opportunities to go abroad, large company with a lot of upward potential for promotions, chance to work on national brands, chance to meet many ambitious, Type-A people

Cons

The Henkel culture is based on fear. Decision-making is so centralized that the local country can't even change the color of a flower on the packaging without approval from the sole global decision-maker (dozens of people can say "no" along the way, but only one person in the entire global company can say "yes"). Complete lack of true leadership, lack of motivation for employees. The company is in a downward spiral. Extremely high employee turnover - no respect for work/life balance, high rates of burnout.

Pros

The job is not too difficult. You mainly work on your own, Pay and benefits are outstanding.

Cons

12 hour shifts. Only one tech per shift so vacations can be a bit dicey. Support from peers is low and there is a lot of back biting in the lab. Sometimes they seem to be lookng for a scapegoat.
