Pros

I am writing this review after almost a year If I look back I don't remember any pros of working at HCS.

Cons

Harman Connected Services (HCS) is not Harman International. If you are hired by HCS you will be deployed at client location. In my case it was Philips Innovation Campus (PIC). I worked for CT team of PIC and the environment out there is scary. We were hired to develop new CT product but it turned out to be a "Merging" project. All we had to do was to merge feature of existing projects and clean it up ( Code Coverage, Unit Tests, Resharper score etc). Then there is documentation: Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Design Documents, Module Testing document and even Requirement documents were expected to be maintained by Developer. Next problem is Architects time - You will never find their time. You need to keep on following up. To Sum it up- Working here was = Follow ups for Code Review / Design Review (30%) + Merging (30%) + Documentation (40%) Coming to role played by HCS, once you are deployed you are neither a Client's employee nor HCS. To avail my own leaves I had to suffer, expecting comp-off for weekend work is out of question. Interviews over the weekend (not allowed on weekdays as it would affect their billing) - with no additional perks - just wasting another weekend. Increments - During pandemic they declared 10% deduction from salary. So Increments were in negative. Overall apart from constant frustration I got nothing from either of these companies.
