Pros
- Get paid on schedule - Amazing employee discount (~50% off) - Some decent employees to chat with about how dysfunctional this company is - Company is riding the wave of connected car, without having the tools, systems or processes to come out on top. SAMSUNG scale and cash pool alone are not enough as A+ employees are driven by purpose, culture and strong co-workers... all of which HARMAN lacks.
Cons
- Majority of employees throw each other under the bus. Stems from very few people pulling in their weight - Tech company with very poor internal tech tools. No process. - High attrition - most people I knew were ready to jump ship in 2017 - Highly micro-managed environment - Poor talent. Majority employees are B- players due to which new products or those requiring significant integration usually take 2-3 years to perfect/work out the bugs once released. - Poor culture, values are a joke and very few on the leadership team have the vision, composure and empathy needed to motivate employees
