Pros
Grundfos is a company that has a strong vision and has many good intentions of being a highly value-based organization. Also, it has a relatively relaxed working culture making it a family-friendly company to work for.
Cons
On the downside, the company has a deeply problematic tendency to retain and reward middle-level managers, who are using way too much time fighting against each other - especially on the administrative level. There are too many jilted "small kings" in the company having too much power and getting away with too many things that are in direct opposition to Grundfos otherwise likable values. This is hugely demotivating. This creates an unhealthy culture keeping lower level employees down to keep them from getting too influential whilst creating a hostile sentiment and "silo thinking" between different departments. I have interestingly enough met many former Grundfos employees who left for precisely this reason and because they felt the company were rewarding only seniority instead of actual performance. This is such a pity as it is a company that aims to have a high integrity and to make a proper, positive difference in the world - which is clearly seen in the corporate marketing/communication of Grundfos. However, I believe there is an eminent need to take a look INTO the organization and to solve the internal problems - so it can become in alignment to what Grundfos wants to be on the outside.
