Pros

- Fresh Fruit Monday, Bagel Wednesday, and Donut Friday - Flexible work hours/ lunch breaks - Vibrant atmosphere w/ a bright future (inside jokes among among established employees, youthful/fun environment- in Sales/Marketing at least)

Cons

- I essentially had to fire myself. My supervisor decided to limit the tasks that I performed to the point that I questioned my status as an employee and initiated a meeting to discuss (Tuesday). Apparently the decision to let me go was made the previous Thursday unbeknownst to me. - In this meeting it was stated that I was probably going to be let go Friday (my birthday) if I hadn't taken the steps to open communication about my job status sooner. - I was let go b/c I do not possess technical skills that were not listed on the job posting, or mentioned in the interview- and was not given the option to learn these skills on my own. - A LOT of sedentary sitting and alienating/lonely if you don't have rapport est. with co-workers

Thanks for your feedback. I do want to acknowledge that 2012 was a tough year for us in building our sales team, and your feedback is very valid. We made a lot of mistakes as we grew as a company and figured out what our sales leadership should look like. By 2013 and now into 2014, Glassdoor sales is a completely different environment - you might not even recognize it! We understand what our hiring profile looks like, we have great training, mentoring, and onboarding, and we have great sales managers. I apologize for the challenging situation that we put you in, and I thank you once again for your candid feedback.

Pros

The benefits and culture were probably the best I've ever had. Even better than the benefits were the people I worked with. I enjoyed coming into work and doing my job and really stood behind the company tag line of helping people find jobs they love.

Cons

During covid things started getting bad. Like many other companies layoffs came around and how the company handled those were terrible. You show up one day and next thing you know you lose access and cryptic email and then your'e gone. This happened again in 2025. They brought in person whose job it was to basically get people to leave. They didn't care about the content on the site, or any of the efforts in place to promote integrity and transparency and instead just wanted to shove AI down everyone's throat. What's sad is that Glassdoor was once a great company that I was proud to say I worked for. Now it's just like everywhere else, AI, AI, AI and trying to get people to quit before the next round of layoffs.
