Pros
Good as a beginner job, lot to learn if you don't have previous experience.
Cons
Getting promoted is usually not a big jump (if within the same team) - barely any new responsibilities (and barely reflected in compensation). Often no clear direction and division of responsibilities (at least in some teams). Communication is not very clear nor honest many times.
