Pros

Georgia tech is a prestigious institution with very good professors. Getting a degree there can open doors for your career.

Cons

Being a PhD student is not simply doing research but you will be in the mix of a lot of academic politics. Just make sure you select your advisor wisely, it can be the difference between succeeding and dropping out like I did.

Pros

Great Research Environment, with multiple opportunities for collaboration. A great place overall for grad school!

Cons

Can be a bit competitive at times, but really depends on the lab / advisor you work with

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
