Pros

Top-tier global institution. World-class research and teaching faculty and facilities. Diverse and inclusive community. Great internship and employment prospects. A lot of academic and non-academic resources to ensure overall student well-being and success. Vibrant extra-curricular community.

Cons

Internship and coop opportunities are not actively encouraged in the College of Sciences. Graduate Assistant pay has steadily improved since 2020 but is still insufficient for the Atlanta economy, and is lagging behind comparable institutions. No specialized support for the unique niche of graduate students who are parents.

Pros

- Free Housing - Meal Plan - One of the better on campus job for students in my opinion (still able to be involved in other activities as a student on campus)

Cons

- Duty part of the job (Being on call and getting late night lock outs but this is rare), and definitely can still do homework in between doing duty rounds - experience can also depend on your hall director / area (but regardless still served on great RA teams, can be great if you have a co-ra but also been good at time being a single RA on the floor (no need to coordinate schedule if you do events together as a single RA unless you alternate events with your co)
