GCS will give you a wealth of experience. Occasional opportunities for supplemental income (rare paid institutes, summer hours, coaching, etc.). Diversity in students and staff. Depending upon your school, a lot of autonomy for your position.
Cons
There have been no raises for seven years now. Requests for outside professional development are usually ignored. An employee's skills, expertise, and background are often over looked - just placed as if a warm body is all that matters.
