Pros
In the past, it was a small/medium sized global company were you knew everyone. It was a great place to work - more like a family than a work place. Plus, your job could be highly varied and your career path flexible. I hope this will continue....but with the purchase by GSK, this may change. i would like to be more specific, but everything is in the air at the moment and this looks to continue for a while longer.
Cons
We are now a small business unit in the behemoth that is GSK (although a desirable company, no doubt - it can not offer an individual the autonomy & varied job descriptions we have enjoyed in the past). The company will be moving to Stockley Park...not a popular move for a good part of the work force who live on the wrong side of Maidenhead & watch A4./A40 traffic reports with some trepidation! GSK seemto be making light of the impact of this.
