Pros
-Free Lunch on certain days -Free Coffee on certain days -Some roles are promoted incredibly fast. Too fast. If you are one of the lucky ones, this is a benefit.
Cons
GLG is one of the most cold, soulless companies I've ever worked for. They actively recruit young, recently graduated college kids with the promise of working with clients and getting business experience, but most of these hires end up filling out excel spreadsheets in dimly lit open work spaces. I believe GLG targets these hires because they are easier to maniuplate. They make them come in early and work late and effectively take time away from their personal life. GLG loves to go on and on about 'work life balance' and 'unlimited PTO' but these are just buzz words to them. Getting time off is difficult and frowned upon. They mostly have an 'unlimited PTO' policy because they don't want to pay out PTO when they fire an employee, which they do CONSTANTLY. Do not become too attached to your co-workers, because they are let go all the time and you won't ever really get the chance to make any human connections. If you aren't hitting your metrics, you will be out on the curb. If you don't gel with your manager, you will be let go and replaced. Everyone at GLG can be, and will be, eventually replaced. Spend one week at GLG and you'll see this is the case. GLG does not care about it's employees. It only cares about money. They go on and on about DEI initiatives and employee wellness, but none of that matters when you can FEEL that your job can be cut any any moment. It's a culture of fear and shady politics.
