Pros
The only positive thing I can say is that the job is mostly remote.
Cons
From the top down, leadership only cares about reducing costs and cutting corners. Senior leaders have a major pride issue and have no clue what cybersecurity is. No matter how much risk you reduce and how many improvements you make, you cannot succeed as an individual. This is the first job where I've received a negative year-end review which results in less bonus and merit-based salary increase (which are both already very low compared to my previous employers). One of the problems with this company is they have a lot of people in leadership roles who should be replaced with younger, more competent individuals. There is no path for advancement within the company. This company does not fire people so there are tons of incompetent dinosaurs running this circus. Despite being remote, work/life balance can be poor at times. I've been called in last minute during after hours (and on PTO with my family) to join meetings about nonsense dog and pony show stuff.
