Pros
Interesting products (medical imaging systems) and a lot of smart people to learn from.
Cons
GE Healthcare is a large company that suffers from many of the issues typical of large companies. Some specific cons: 1) frequent reorganization / restructuring, 2) lack of visibility into other departments / groups and what work they are doing, 3) significant amount of technical debt, 4) a lot of roles and the scope of the associated work is not well defined ("who owns what"), 4) a disproportionate amount of work and resources devoted to processes rather than work that would actually move products / services forward (e.g. meetings, discussion, flowcharts, etc. on how to reduce time in meetings), 5) the compensation is actually quite low / poor for the size of the company and the skill of the employees (many of the employees could be compensated at a higher rate at a different employer), 6) for promotions, "how things look" is more important than the work actually being done; for example, talking a lot, especially to senior staff, is more likely to result in promotion than solving problems, especially if they are technical problems.
