Pros

Flexible work hours A lot of job autonomy Decent pay

Cons

Business is not managed well. They will hire like crazy, and then a few months later layoff a large number of people. One new hire we had needed to move into the area, and was laid off a week after he had made the move. In one group, the laid off a bunch of people two days before a new hire started. On one new project was working on there was a new feature they really wanted for the new product that did not fit into the product schedule. The plan for that feature changed at least a dozen times in a year. One week it was out, then in again, then out of the release again. It was crazy.

Pros

Cool project, that was it honestly. The bad outweighed the good.

Cons

DO NOT WORK HERE Not an emotionally or psychologically safe work environment. Toxic, dysfunctional, retaliatory culture with institutionalized gaslighting. The company is all about optics and theater. Whatever values or capital letter 'C' care they have in their name means nothing. Leadership's promises about respectful workplaces are lies. HR's claims about protections are also lies. GEHC cannot hold anyone accountable or create a culture where employees thrive. They think multi-million dollar campus renovations will fix cultural rot while C-suite leadership remains incompetent. Management engages in hostile behavior including: berating of employees behind closed doors, manipulating performance reviews as retaliation tools, making baseless accusations in closed-door meetings, and fabricating claims to coerce compliance. Reporting these issues with hard evidence results in the victim being pushed out while Management faces zero consequences. No accountability for management. No protections for employees. Paid 50% below market. Experienced employees can't afford homes. Wages are not competitive and haven't kept pace with cost of living. Everyone is grossly underpaid. Forced hybrid creates 90+ minute commutes from Milwaukee to Waukesha with minimal on-site value and poor information sharing. Everyone was miserable and a push to 5 days on-site will make it worse. LGBTQ+ employees: avoid this place. Not inclusive. Saw too many queer colleagues struggle and leave.
