Business Outlook
Pros
Young employees are smart and motivated. A lot of engineering majors from a lot of different schools. Some remote options.
Cons
Commercial cutting cost in every project and every shop. If you aren’t working military, leadership doesn’t see as valued employee. Wages are mid to low in the industry. This used to be the best place to work for engineer due to reputation, training, and wages. Now, GE’s reputation is mid to low due to SEC/stocks, the training is poor due to lack of any analytics/updated hardware (literally shop hardware falling apart), and wages (I’m a Sr making 100K). Leadership still thinks they have top reputation in workplace and treats employees as such.
