      Complex corporate structure with horizontal teams. You must be engaged to advance but plenty of opportunities are available for workers with intentionality and drive.

      Pros

      My Boss, or People Leader as we call them at GE Aerospace, is one of the best people I've ever worked for ... and after a long career in the military, I've had quite a few leaders. She is very supportive, helpful when I need it, all without ever micromanaging my daily activities. I also love that this company lives up to its mission statement and really does put the customer first.

      Cons

      Upward mobility in the area where I work has been and will continue to be a difficult journey. It's better in other parts of the company.
