Pros
I really liked my manager and felt like we had great and open communication with each other. We traveled to nice places for events. WFH was a plus.
Cons
This job was a nightmare. While we stayed in nice hotels and visited great places, I never had time to enjoy it because we were constantly understaffed, working 20-hour days without overtime pay. Other teams joked about how late we worked, even referencing a past employee passing out from exhaustion. I was never paid the bonuses I was promised. My team was severely understaffed (I was severely underpaid), but we had so much work on our plate without any help from others. The older workers were grumpy, stuck in outdated ways, and unprofessional. There was a lack of training and mentorship due to my manager constantly being swamped with work and not having enough time to train me properly. This job was traumatizing, and it took me a while to realize this environment wasn't normal. If you’re considering this job, run—if you get laid off, you won’t receive a severance package.
