1. It’s a school, you have to come to office 5 days a week, there’s no flexibility in shift timing unless you’re the favourite of the VP. 2. There won’t be any increment what do ever, you’ll find yourself working for the same basic salary you joined with for 2 years, the responsibilities will add up on the contrary. God forbid if a new member joins, he/she will get more salary than you irrespective of their competency in the job role. 3. It’s an employer’s company where employees are treated like slaves, you’ll often hear phrases like, ‘You’re lucky to have a job in this market’ 4. If you’re staying away from the family, and need to visit them, they will not allow more than 2 days of leave, even if your work is streamlined and you promise to finish your work before time. They will just not give you a time off. 5. You’ll find mean minded colleagues who will talk rubbish and talk no sense, because all the company hires are fools who are willing to give their lifetime for minimum wage, no skills required or matters. 6. You will be questioned if you use your phone, if you use washroom too often, or even take break for more than 30 mins. 7. They’ll force you to join meeting every week for 2 hours post your working hour on a topic that least bothers you. You’ll reach home at 7 and freshen up for ab hour and have to join the meeting that goes on for more than an hour. God forbid if you’re tired and fall asleep, you’re on the red list, and if you can’t join for emergency you’re the bad employee. 8. You need to come to office regardless of the weather, if it’s 38 degrees outside or raining cats and dogs. I was asked to travel 17 km from home to office during Chennai cyclone and forced not to go back home because I have to report to work when the office reopens.
