Pros

Despite not having the best reviews, I think it is one of the best firms I have worked for. The benefits are great and the people are lovely. At lot of people think that it 'isn't what it used to be' but I wasn't there before the redundancies so cannot comment. It may depend which department you are in but I thought it was great for personal development and if you want to be involved in any extra curricular activities or charity work. It is hard work and very fast paced but it is balanced with the rewards.

Cons

The PGM/EA/PA model doesn't work the best. I have previously worked for several Partners at other firms, even as a Junior member of staff! However, here you have to be an 'EA' to be able to do this. However, the rules are sometimes bent and PA's can be working for a Partner for several months without the benefit of the extra 10-15k. I also know people who have completed the 6 month role where they work as an EA on PA wage to become and EA at the end of it, only to be told that they cannot step up, despite doing the job perfectly, they will have to do the work without the pay.
