Pros
Mazars SG is good if you like a company that organises events, has a pool table in office and games to play in the pantry. However, i am someone who prefers to have higher salary instead of having all these benefits thus this do not appeal to me.
Cons
A very tough appraisal system where hard work is mostly not recognised. Managers feel that following up on your audit jobs is a given and you do not get extra credit for following up at your own time. Even a " Meet Expectations " grading is also very difficult to get in Mazars. The management do not care much about the well-being of the staffs and only care about you when you are resigning. There is also instances of staffs being downgraded when their performance is not up to standard. It is very difficult to promote to Manager level in Mazars as some of the Assistant Managers have been around for 2 to 3 years in the same position and not yet promoted. Mazars prefer to hire from outside for a managerial role instead of promoting within the firm. When the Company asks for feedback, they do not offer solutions to our feedbacks and instead just asks for feedback to show that they care but in actual fact, nothing is done. Leave approval process is very slow and often, leave gets approved only a few weeks before your leave period. Poor planning from managers resulted in a few of us having to take leave during one period when there was not much to do. Compensation is low and your increment when you are promoted is only 400 dollars.
