Business Outlook
Pros
Good safety standards. Clear systems. People take procedures seriously and back each other up. Pay and conditions are competitive. Camp and travel are well run. Equipment and plant are generally well maintained. You get exposure to large-scale operations and learn fast if you’re switched on.
Cons
Roster fatigue is real. Long swings take a toll over time. Workload can spike when short staffed or during shutdowns. Some decisions come from the top without much context, which can frustrate crews on the ground. Like most big companies, there’s paperwork and process that can slow things down.
