Pros
Flowserve is a company that has a great corporate culture. The typical character of leadership is that they genuinely care about their employees. Well-being and safety are talked about as core values and are supported in the benefits package and daily approach to business. Leaders have targets and are held accountable for practices and actions that drive the results. Numbers are an indicator, but I am responsible for the quality of the activity that produces the numbers. The company has a continuous improvement approach to all business metrics, and I am encouraged to grow and take on different stretch roles that allow me to learn and do more. Flowserve has a flexible work atmosphere, depending on roles. This ranges from a WFH model to regular shift work. For professionals, there is a robust hybrid model that gives you time in office to develop team culture, while also some WFH days that build quality into work-life balance and saves commuting time. Flowserve recently sunset their defined benefit pension but replaced it with a very competitive 401k package. For medical there is a HSA model, as well as PPO model.
