Pros
None whatsoever. It's very bad.
Cons
There's a huge disconnect between management and the workers. People working from 9 to 5 make decisions for people working 6 to 6. Salaried employees send home hourly employees to suit their numbers. Training is insufficient and read only. Engineering techs are responsible for everything and get credit for nothing. You are expected to be on your feet for the majority of your shift regardless of whether there's anything to actually do. The parking situation is terrible and unsafe. You are under constant scrutiny. HR is a spineless tool of management; they will do nothing to help you or support you. There are no merit raises. If you're owed money you have to chase it down. You can't plan on a vacation because the plant can and will be shut down at the cost of your PTO. You are under constant scrutiny. Your career survival depends on your ability to navigate political waters that change constantly due to the constant management turnover.
