Pros
As many have mentioned, good work and life balance, flexible with working from home to a certain extent. Most colleagues are helpful and nice. Company offers decent health/dental, gym, 401k and other benefits. Core rating services are of high quality and the rating criteria/methodologies are transparent. Research reports and publication list analysts' direct contact info - most other agencies don't.
Cons
departmental cultural really depends on MD, but not all managers are the same. personal career and development also highly correlated with your manager's ability. lots of disintegrated internal applications which create a lot of inefficiencies
