Pros

-You get to become an expert on a specific sector. -Some Co-workers were nice and genuine. -Company sponsored Happy Hours.

Cons

-No training and your are expected to be an expert on the processes within two weeks of starting. -Still small compared to Moody's & S&P -Senior Directors will throw you under the bus. -Unrealistic expectations by higher ups. -Work-Life Balance is not real. You will be churning out similar hours as middle market investment banks for less compensation specially during the summertime/winter months. -Salary Raises and Bonuses are a joke for the workload demanded by higher ups. -Felt like Fraternity at times. If you are not part of the cool kids you will not be promoted/praised for your work and will be ostracize.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. At Fitch, we take great pride in our training programs, and we are disappointed that you did not feel the training was valuable. Junior analysts participate in Fitch Credit Academy, and our managers participate in Fitch Management Academy. These programs are intended to provide our analysts with the technical, analytical, and management skills they need to be successful in their role , and advance in their career. We have had very positive feedback from people who have completed the training but always appreciate those who let us know their thoughts on how we could improve.
