Pros
Fitch was known for its work / life balance but no longer after Hearst bought out the company. Too many middle managers trying to ingratiate themselves to the new owners. Training for junior analysts has improved over my tenure, but time would be better spent using Fitch to get an MBA and/or a CFA, the. Leaving after 2-3 years.
Cons
Highly political environment especially in corporate finance. Weak, naive management favor their clique and retaliate at those not falling at their heels. As senior analysts are forced out and junior analyst gain their experience then leave, management is at a loss as why they cannot maintain loyalty. Over my 10+ years, the company has become a toxic cesspool headed by mysogynistic megalomaniacs.
