Too many egos and agendas, not enough shared vision - Director Fitch Group Employee Review

It's very hard to get anything done, as egos and agendas are constantly getting in the way. Some of the people in power seem entirely focused on what's best for their little fiefdoms, rather than thinking about what's good for the company overall, and collaborating for the shared good. Because this attitude has not been challenged and corrected, and because it's so hard to make positive changes, I really don't see much potential for growth for Fitch. There's also a subculture of disrespect in some parts of the business - not all of the business, as many colleagues are lovely. But I've been shocked several times at just how rude some senior colleagues have been, and how much that culture trickles down to the rest of their teams as their behaviour becomes normalised. It's not as big of an issue as my first con, as it doesn't actually block the business achieving its goals. It just makes working there less pleasant and more stressful than necessary.
