Pros

Decent DCPP, Match (3:1) share purchases (Max 6% payroll deduction = 2% match), You can move up the ladder easily at the beginning but plateau very quickly. Free phone (but iPhone...)

Cons

Reducing benefits regularly as cost saving. Pay hourly workers way more money than salary and they all complain that they're the most underpaid people in existence, Heavy duty technicians can make about 160k per year in Fort Mac so they're a wee bit spoiled. Not a whole lot of upward mobility for Engineers. Talk a whole lot about Safety being the number one priority and while the managers talk the talk it's pretty clear they're all talking out of their butt. Work life balance is awful if you want to move up, you're expected to be glued to your phone.

Pros

Good and hard working employees for the most part, standard industry benefits and great business model for growth

Cons

Many changes within BP&S team in the past few months without leadership or strategic approach; Hiring and keeping expensive contractors instead of keeping knowledgable employees. The CIO acts as a bully and there is no oversight on his costly decisions and the chaos he has created. He was given the ultimate authority by the past leadership team and since they have left Finning, the new leadership team has not assessed CIO’s negative impact and outcomes so far. Moral is low and BP&S employees seem lost while the new CIO brings in more of his people on high paid roles and contracts.
