Pros

Getting to see all of the upper management get promoted while the worker bees do not get a yearly raise or bonus.

Cons

A complete mess of an organization. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and I have never seen so many client complaints than I have since I have been working for FIS. No one cares about you as a person, you’re just another robot at a machine, but to be a success you have to have ambitious employees that are motivated and encouraged to succeed. The only motivation I have gotten so far is to look for a new job. The health benefits for a company this size is also laughable. You are not offered a PPO you only have the option for a high deductible plan or an even higher deductible plan. If you get sick you will go broke.

We appreciate you taking the time to review us. As you know, 2020 was an unprecedented year for the world and for FIS. We unexpectedly and quickly pivoted in several areas to ensure we were laser-focused on what’s important, and that is our colleagues, clients, and communities. This included investments in new health and safety protocols throughout the organization and new wellness programs, including COVID-19 time off and enhanced medical, well-being, and mental health resources. With that being said, FIS is not immune from the financial impact the pandemic has had on businesses globally. As a result, we are facing an unusual compensation year for 2021. You identified yourself as a current colleague, so we encourage you to communicate often with your manager and let them know any challenges you may be facing and create solutions together and you can also report any of your stated concerns through a member of the People Office, or through the various intranet channels available or the FIS Ethics Hotline.

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
