Pros

- Simple process for those starting out in this line - Small plant and able to familiarise with most areas within a year - Not much troubleshooting required - Good teamwork and support from colleagues during training phase or even normal working phase - Good health, medical, leisure, and many other benefits - Some OT available every month for those who seek OT

Cons

- Basic salary and bonus can be better - Mismanagement by production planners may occur from time to time that requires technicians to do extra workload or manage the production schedule safely but urgently - Not much difference between senior tech and normal technician - Not much training was given for technicians transferred to DCS panel man job - Job can be very physical and tiring especially for loading and unloading technician as there are days when you have no support from colleagues

Pros

Pay is good, bonuses are low, benefits have decreased every year Lunch in cafeteria is great Shift relief time was good, had enough time after work to be with family We sure miss Bonnie out there , she’s great.

Cons

Micromanaging - Extreme lack of trust Overall morale for the whole site is way down starting from 2018 Bias Backstabbing Incompetency - certain employees promoted to next level without actually knowing or understanding the process No work life balance, we’re told that doesn’t apply to production workers. Overtime hours avg 400-700 hours a year No room for employee growth or thoughts on process productivity/troubleshooting acknowledged if you’re not in the clique 3-2-2-3 shift schedule swapping from nights to day each time led to overall fatigue. Needs to be 2 weeks of nights and 2 weeks of days. HR is an overall joke, they used to be superb until COVID and the new site manager. Preach safety but turn a blind eye when it’s convenient to reach production. Then fault the operators or maintenance personnel if something happens.
