As good things are said, bad things must also be said, and I don't know where to start.
The company is doing a big, hard layoff even though they mentioned that they don't do layoffs. Good and competent people are losing their jobs due to poor management by department leaders and managers. The last 7 months all the work done was under pressure. It was constant harassment to meet ridiculous metrics that didn't even care if you were on top, they put you on PIP with the excuse that they want the best for you and you need to be on PIP to be able to do your best.
The leaders of these teams are only there to fill a position but they don't lead anybody, they only talk with those guys who they want to protect and ensure their jobs.
If you are a civil engineer, an architect, or any professional, don't apply to any job position on the construction team (well if they can save that team), you can apply for a better position with higher pay and with responsibilities that are aligned with your career, not to be at the company trying to fix the messes of people that only want to sale and doesn't care about anything. But is not the sales team's fault, they too work under pressure with constant harassment.
