Pros
Ability to more or less control your salary. The more you sell the more you earn.
Cons
Very long work weeks and sometimes take home pay does not reflect work accomplished. Also, most restaurant managers treat you as a wrench, instead of a sales specialist. They call you late at night to fix something but complain about the cost of the part even though they don't pay for labor. Restaurant managers have become more and more thrifty and always want something for nothing. Learn to leverage your time... don't go if they don't want to pay.
