Pros

supportive district with 18 stores, 10 of which were all in the next town over and were almost always able to find shift coverage from another store for call ins or emergencies. DM with company for like 23 years or so and so she knows the job and has high expectatons of her SMs .

Cons

Sm overworked. At my lowest (the last month) I work between 55 and 60 hours a week. At my height I worked 107 hours in one week. Dm can be seen as blunt, cold, and to the point with the way she words her comments but her intention is to follow policy and make sure insturctions/expectations are direct and clear.

Pros

The job itself is easy. The cash register, stocking (especially the totes and dry truck) and cleaning are so simple however there are certain things that make it difficult, although the work itself is not (under the right circumstances.)

Cons

They never have enough people on shift so it’s always difficult to get things done. It seems like all the managers I know from the store I worked at and the surrounding ones are all so deep into drama it made me wonder if I was back in high school. Dry truck always seems to bring far too much and the stores are so little that overstock is a huge issue here. The reason I ultimately left was due to severe mistreatment and some safety concerns I had regarding some past experiences. I am very glad I left and I would not ever go back.
