Pros

Decent money and nice clients. Job title sounded cool.

Cons

Worst management I have ever worked under. Bullying, toxic work environment. Colleagues crying every week. Director would micro manage everyone and make me feel stupid while watching you through CCTV and encourage toxic behaviour as long as targets were hit. Individual commission meant people would bully and shout at each other when client walked in and behind their backs. Lunch breaks were timed to the second and I was constantly called forgetful, a bad salesman and staff would shout at each other. In the months I worked their 8 people had been fired or left the company. disgraceful

Pros

Good benefits Good work-life balance Hybrid schedule Strong colleagues / good people on the team

Cons

I realized quickly that “development” here mostly meant completing the next task on the checklist. There was little mentorship, strategic guidance, or clarity around how employees were supposed to grow. Leadership often referenced “big plans,” but there was never much substance behind what that meant day to day or long term. Exploring ways to add value beyond the basic role was initially met with: “We didn’t hire you to do this.” But once that work became useful to the business, the expectations changed. It was no longer outside the role, it was expected. When I later raised a conversation around role alignment, the response was anger and hostility rather than constructive discussion. Concerns were minimized by pointing to employees who had gone years without raises, as if that was a standard to accept rather than a problem to address. I was ultimately told I “could be replaced tomorrow.” That summed up my experience: unclear direction, limited development and poor leadership response when clarity was requested. I took the message seriously and left. For ambitious people looking for mentorship, development, and a real long-term path, this felt like a road to nowhere.
