Pros

If you have a strong desire to succeed and then you could do well at Dlocal. You will get the chance to see the world as the company offers many travel opportunities to it's employees . If you like a challenge then this is definitely the type of company you should work in. Put shortly; this isn't a place for quitters; I quickly learned that if there's an issue which arises within the job, then you will be expected to solve it ( with the support of a great team ), but don't anticipate that your hand will be held through the process. I'd say that this is a place where you can start a fresh, start a new career and get off the merry go round which is the Israeli Hi-Tech Scene; this isn't a typical Israeli Tech company ( yet ) and there's no stagnant processes or meaningless tasks to fulfill as an employee. Everything which you do has a purpose and that purpose is to succeed both for the company and for yourself.

Cons

It's wonderful to be exposed to different people, different cultures and different ways of thinking and this is actually a pro- but the con that comes along with it is that the "mothership" branch on which Dlocal depends is in Uruguay, so sometimes waiting for answers is a bit frustrating; sometimes you can feel yourself trying to "beat the clock". However, the team is great, and the time difference issue can be overcome with oiling the machine better.

Pros

Great camaraderie among colleagues, who are always willing to help with any issues you face and support you in navigating the complexities of the business. The company is likely to continue growing and may become a better place to work in the future.

Cons

The work environment is quite toxic, with a culture that no longer aligns with what you typically see in product-driven companies today. Work-life balance is poor, and there isn’t much room for recognition. The benefits are not competitive compared to other companies in the industry. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re not used to dealing with constant pressure, often without a clear purpose, and working in an environment where everything is treated as an emergency, regardless of employee well-being. I witnessed too many burnouts and layoffs during my time, which was alarming.
