Pros

Great people, competitive pay, everyone is bonus eligible and the benefits are decent. There are a lot of great things about Diageo. They do seem to care about employees. Even though the company is large, and slightly risk averse (understandably so), they are willing to hear new and innovative ideas from all staff, regardless of position.

Cons

A lot of miscommunication because of global structure. Also, they are suddenly requiring all employees in the office after moving to the World Trade Center. They are being very draconian about it now, taking attendance and making threats. This is not what employees want in 2023. Flexible working is one of the reasons I joined the company. Companies that don’t adapt to a changing world, will not be able to attract great talent. If they continue treating people like children, especially those that are great employees, they will end up with a toxic culture and their profits will suffer. It is too bad that a once great, fun, and innovative company is moving backwards.

Pros

Pay & Benefits are wonderful

Cons

Unrealistic expectations towards employees Insurance benefits *Managers* are composed of front-line production leads and those who may oversee or supervise.* The work-life balance is severely lacking, and there are biased managers who add negative connotations to peers' actions without any solid evidence or knowledge. Furthermore, these managers often lack technical expertise regarding machinery and engage in excessive micromanagement of employees. The workplace lacks diversity as defined, and the hiring representatives are typically the same floor leads that micromanage peers creating unfair hiring process at Diageo. Many individuals who have encountered the corrupt practices lead reps in previous jobs are frequently denied opportunities.
