David's Bridal

Is this your company?

Lead stylist even tho it won’t let me put that because it isn’t a real position - Stylist David's Bridal Employee Review

Pros

Amazing coworkers; pushes and challenges you.

Cons

Management is very authoritarian. They see employees as numbers not people. I was promised full-time when I became the lead stylist, months later I found out they had been lying to me about the fact that I was working up PTO. They have been working full-time hours, but listed as a part-time employee, so I was receiving no benefits. They will threaten to fire you or write you up if you cannot cover another employee shift even if it’s not your responsibility. There were a few times where I was not offered a break, or when I asked, I was guilt trip out of it with the manager, saying that they had not yet taken theirs. Those times that I didn’t get one, one was still entered into my timesheet. Overall, the management makes it clear that it’s about the numbers you make, not your wellbeing. They do not care about brides or employees and are simply money focused. Though you could say the same about other bridal companies, this one is not scared to make that known.

Pros

Fun place to work and nice to be apart of something bigger.

Cons

Total revolving door for employees, managers and everything else. No commission and store is worn down along with systems.
