Pros
I love my job and helping stylists hit their goals, helping brides find their dream dress, and working with an amazing management team. Our staff is like family with how well we get along and how much we care about each other. The stores goals are attainable and we regularly bonus.
Cons
The recent changes with the company including a set schedule for management took away all flexibility that this job had to have a career and a family. Before we never minded if two managers wanted to change shifts to make it to their kids game or school event, now that’s not an option. We never had any issues with scheduling in my store and we feel like we’re being punished and treated like children who can’t be trusted to make their own schedules which we’ve been doing for years without issue. Now we are all essentially second shift and the forced schedule is not at all conducive with having a family. I never saw myself leaving this job before but now I don’t see how I can stay if I ever have children because I would never get to see them. When a store is consistently exceeding their goals with low turnover and great reviews, maybe you should cut that store some slack and not try to fix what isn’t broken. Yes the company as a whole is in some financial trouble but there’s no reason to take it out on the teams who are succeeding. This is how you will lose your quality managers.
