Pros
Team at the store level was great, worked well together and supportive
Cons
Managers in store are micro managed and not trusted to perform their jobs by upper management. And going by what other roles in the store are paid they are seriously under paid. Non commission sales but expected to still perform as commission sales, including write ups for low performing sales. If you want your stylists to sell like that, than give them commission. Computers and systems are outdated and constantly crashing but corporate is constantly throwing money at new acquisitions and ideas instead of supporting current stores and updating certain lines. (Looking at you Mother of the Bride collection) They claim they value our opinions and are listening to us, yet every request or suggestion goes unnoticed. We had a beautiful Quincenera collection that would have sold well in our store, never made it there. Upper management seems to think that aggression and threats of write ups are good management tactics. The management team in the store is sometimes so stressed they look like they could break because of these tactics. They work hard to not pass the negativity down to their store staff which is awesome. Basically if upper management was more emotionally mature and had taken some of their own soft skill training and they paid better I would still be there.
