Pros

-Made lifelong friendships -Facility and gym were beautiful -Stock options -Very inexpensive health insurance -Sample sales (pre-covid) -1 work from home day/week

Cons

Where do I begin... -Consistent abysmal employee engagement survey results, yet nothing changes -Gender pay gap is happening (same position, same tenure, same performance review score, but the women are paid less) -Absolutely no career advancement opportunities (interviewed for various promotions and even lateral moves 10+ times, always excellent feedback, yet stuck in the same entry level position for 6 years. I did the job of someone while they were on maternity leave, then was told I wasn't qualified enough when I interviewed for that same position) This is not a one-off instance, this is very common, at least in eCommerce. -Upper management is constantly changing directions, has absolutely no idea who does what and how at a lower level. Unrealistic expectations back on lack of understanding what positions actually do. -1-2% raises regardless of how well the company did or personal performance (never received even the minimal cost of living increase yearly) -Management promised to bring back furloughed employees if those of us that stayed on "worked hard enough" and they ended up laying off many people despite eCommerce having one of the best quarters ever during quarantine. -No merit increase/bonus/raise/recognition whatsoever for the teammates that kept the business going and profitable during furloughs/quarantine -When teammates were brought back from furloughs, eCommerce Content Specialists were given a title demotion to Generalist, including those of us who worked through furloughs (long days, high stress) -Teammates are handpicked, seemingly at random for promotions (when 99% of the time you have to interview for a promotion), even when those teammates don't express interest in a position. Yet those that interviewed many times and was well known what promotions people were working towards were overlooked,. This happened more than once. The last straw for me was after teammates were brought back, being told your title would now sound even more entry level, despite working crazy hours under high pressure, and then having random peers handed promotions that had less tenure and experience. I gave the company 6 years and had nothing to show for it. I couldn't take the heartbreak any longer.

Pros

Great team environment with strong support throughout the organization. I enjoyed collaborating with both my direct team and the store teams.

Cons

There honestly were not many negatives. I really enjoyed the team environment, felt supported, and had a positive experience overall. Like any role, there were occasional busy or challenging periods, but nothing that outweighed the positives of the position.
