Pros

Good pay and benefits. Great people to work with.

Cons

Pioneer Hi-Bred used to be a top tiered place to work. The pay and benefits were excellent but more importantly the culture was first class because the employees felt appreciated. As a result of this culture employees worked together toward company goals and went the “extra mile” to get jobs done. Unfortunately with the merger of Dow DuPont and the eventual split into three different companies that turned Pioneer Hi-Bred into Corteva, the Pioneer Hi-Bred culture has been lost. Employees no longer feel appreciated by the new management and there is a general sense that any one of them could be laid off at anytime regardless of how long they have been with the company or what experience they bring to the table. Unfortunately this has led to low employee moral which directly affects their work output. Corteva management could eventually turn the current employee culture around but at this time it doesn’t seem to be a priority.
