Pros
If one takes charge of their career and is confident enough to stand up for the right vs wrong, you will have better results. You have the freedom to speak if you can speak. Work culture is in such a way that it helps those who take interest in their progression and wouldn't for those who won't.
Cons
Mid-level managers are a blunder, incompetent, complacent, resistant to change and have no management experience. They are mostly promoted because they have been in the company for a long time. The company is failing to train the mid-level managers and tell them what is expected of them. Salary is way lower than average in the industry. HR has gone down in terms of their arrogant behaviour and treats interviewees in a more humane manner now. This could be because of the dramatic ongoing attrition. Female employees in the company are far less compared to males. There is some level of gender bias, and discrimination, especially seen among long served employees. HR offer far low salary to female employees than the male with the same skillset and experience. So, bias is top-down and starts with HR itself.
