Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working within our SBU. Great people and a positive experience, I learned a lot. I also had the flexibility to work from home full time, and work flexible hours. Due to my long tenure, I enjoyed maxed out PTO of 28 days. This is not a reflection on Conduent as a whole, just the SBU that I was a part of.

Cons

Background: I worked at an SBU that until the last year or two, was largely independent of Conduent - we had our own IT, data center, etc. We were no strangers to acquisitions - we were acquired by ACS in the mid 2000's, which was in turn acquired by Xerox shortly thereafter. We subsequently were under the Conduent umbrella when Conduent formed in January 2017 as a result of Xerox splitting off Xerox Business Services. Summary of Cons: Very meager raises, if any (<2%). No bonus structure. Very lengthy and convoluted purchasing and procurement process (akin to requiring an act of Congress to buy a box of pens). Talent acquisition was no better. Heavy emphasis on offshoring positions (to India), or as Conduent calls it, "Accushoring". Management is poorly organized and stretched thin. They even closed near/offshore locations (Guatemala) and shipped those jobs to India. Details: With no due diligence review, Conduent unexpectedly laid off 2/3 of our IT staff in late spring 2018 (we had about 20 folks). Affected staff consisted of highly skilled developers and data processors, and were expected to "knowledge transfer" 10+ years worth of proprietary application and data knowledge in only 6 weeks to their Indian replacements. By law and contract, our SBU cannot conduct business offshore, and Conduent's "plan" backfired. Worse, Conduent didn't even have the talent in India lined up yet, and some of the talent they did manage to hire were denied work visas to the US. This led to the demise of a highly organized, efficient IT department within a highly profitable SBU.

Pros

Working from home No travel to.work

Cons

I was fired the following day after I requested FMLA through my supervisor and was directed to contact Metlife. I was called on my cell by my supervisor after requesting to take a ADAAA day due to a medical issue and was asked if I needed to find another job more accomidating to my condition. I reported this to their supervisor and nothing was done about it. I was told upon termination ilI was not allowed to say who I worked for or what I did for them. Apple will be getting the same review as they tried to put it all on their client. At the time of my termination my metrics were 100%.
