Pros

Good vacation days compared to other entry-level jobs. I got 17 vacation days and 6 sick days.

Cons

I worked here for 2 years straight out of college (Ivy League) and was enrolled in one of their analyst programs. This program was misrepresented on college recruitment presentations and made much more glamorous than it actually is. Most of us were placed in positions within the firm that required the intelligence/ability equal to that of the highschool level. You don't need a college degree to do 99% of the mundane work...at least not an ivy league education!

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
