This is just about the Indian Offices. Looking at the Resources in other countries, they are having an amazing life. 1) Everything mentioned below is very very different depending on how you got into this company. If you know someone at the high ranks closely, you will have an amazing time here, for everyone else, keep reading. 2) The work in most of the deparment never actually matches the post you were hired for, which means no matter how hard you work, you will be no better off career-wise than you were a few years ago. You will keep working on Excel files all day without any actually learning anything new. All the new things to learn are saved for head of departments and the people who got through nepotism. 3) Work hours are a joke. You will constantly see people working after hours at their home well into the night. Even on weekends and on holidays. 4) Everything is urgent here. Everything is urgent and if you take the work even a bit seriously you will have high blood pressure immediately. The managers are known to make everything sound like they are urgent and you will be working your a** off because of unrealistic deadlines and low work force. 5) If you are HR or came through nepostism or are one of the few people inside the cabins, life is a breeze, you will get constant good incremenets and quick promotions. For everyone else, forget promotions, even increments don't come every year. People kept waiting for increments for years and then finally had to leave this company. 6) For these reasons people keep leaving the company. Once they realize, probably 1-3 months, they start looking for another job. It's only when they go into other companies interview they realize that they weren't actually doing anything significant in this company for the past years. 7) The managers have no professionalism. They shout and scold you and give you extra work and never ever trust you or say anything good about you, ever. With the first sign of this mental harrasment, people start looking for new job immediately. 8) The reason for most of it is that the HR is unwilling to pay a decent salary for a good experience person. They are paying the same to an 8+ years experiencecd person what the freshers get and because of that reason, the only people who stay in this company are the people who lie on their resume and/or know someone big in this company. The company is unwilling to pay even 2 digit increments every year but they promote their HR and neptotism people very very quickly. 8) They won't listen to your medical issues even if you have earned casual/sickness leave. They want you prove everything. The HR is a joke. The HR turns a blind eye to abosolutely everything. No promotions. toxicity, managers using bad language, unpaid overtime, unpaid weekends work. The HR is as bad as the IT department here. 9) Let's not get into IT department. 10) The major thing that bothers me is that it's an accepted work culture here. That demeaning people, blaming others for your mistake, ignoring health issues rising from overwork and no pay, keeping your head down and hating everyone else for a panut salary is considered normal here. 11) BTW, the salary is never what you get, they always find some way to cut into your salary no matter how little it is. If you have worked in India you know that there is an Employee contribution and an Emploer contribution (usually Rs.1800 each) of which the employee contribution is deducted from your salary but Rs.3600 is put into your PF account. Here they cut the Rs.3600 from your own salary and put al lower amount in your main account. 12) You only get 20% of you LPA in your account even if you don't come into the tax bracket . 13) The peolple with cabins, and nepotism people get a lot more perks than anyone else. Their home internet connection bills, unlimited post paid bills, and even travel expenses, and many more which we don't know about.
