Pros
There are a lot of good, ethical people here who are committed to conforming to the regulatory standards. At least in my department, safety and quality are taken very seriously.
Cons
Pay starts out a little low and stays low even with annual merit pay increases because the pay increases are like 1-3% at a time so even after 5 years my pay has still only gone up by about 5% total. Promotions are very few and far between. The CDMO structure has led to a lot more work and a focus on revenue that leads to unrealistic expectations. Any increased revenue from getting more clients and contracts is not passed on to the personnel doing the extra work.
